La semana pasada recibimos en la oficina una nota que mas o menos decía así…
“Canada Revenue Agency has made changes to the Federal TD1 effective July 1, 2007. Parents with children born in 1990 or later are now eligible for a tax exemption and may wish to review this new TD1.”
En otros lugares, donde la oficina de RRHH tiene algo más de ganas de hablar decía algo como…
“New Child Tax Credit
Starting July 1, 2007, you will be able to claim a new non-refundable tax credit of $2,000 for each child under 18 years of age at the end of 2007. This credit was announced in the March 2007 Federal Budget.
Additional Changes effective July 1, 2007 (Please see the top portion of the TD1 2007 Personal Tax Credit form).
The maximum amount that individuals can claim on a TD1 for the spousal, common-law partner and eligible dependants amounts have increased from $7,581 to $8,929 for 2007 to match the basic personal amount. In addition, it would eliminate the threshold which an individual’s income is taken into account for calculating the spousal, common-law partner and eligible dependant tax credits. The threshold is $759 for 2007. As a result, for 2007 and later years, the amount of credit that an individual can claim for the spousal, common-law partner or eligible dependant amount would be reduced by the amount of the individual’s income.
Additional information on the changes can be found on the CRA website http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/formspubs/menu-e.html.
The forms are at:
TD1 - 2007 Personal Tax Credits Return
TD1-WS - 2007 Worksheet for the Personal Tax Credits Return“
En pocas palabras, buenas noticias para las finanzas de los que tenemos hijos.
Dicen por ahí (y me gustaría confirmarlo) que se viene un pago único del CTB (Child Tax Benefit) de $250 por hijo… Alguien sabe algo de esto?
Gracias……!
