Our client is urgently seeking the services of a BEA Portal Administrator for a 6-month contract assignment beginning asap.

Job Description:

The resource will work with existing application development leads and be responsible for providing the appropriate Portal administration and support, as well as diagnosing and resolving day-to-day Portal issues.

Scope of responsibilities:

Undertake all operational support duties in accordance and compliance with established standards and processes in order to deliver support to the agreed service levels.
Undertake system administration tasks and manage user access and application security.
In accordance and compliance with established processes and procedures, maintain the Change Control process for a number of corporate applications and act as the central authority for all changes and outages for those applications.
Exercise extensive problem solving skills in determining the source of system problems and setting the course for their rectification in conjunction with other technical staff and users.
Provide out of hours on call services as required and as agreed with colleagues and management.

Must Have Skills:

Strong verbal communications and documentation skills
Prior administration experience with BEA portal, Weblogic
Experience developing and supporting BEA portal-based applications
Experience in using software version control systems such as Subversion (SVN), CVS, etc.

Nice To Have Skills

Experience in using Wily Portal Manager for BEA WebLogic Portal a plus
