Help Desk Technician
Job Summary

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for capturing and documenting all help desk information, prioritizing, filtering and redirecting technical requests to the appropriate department. This function is critical to our client maintaining a long term relationship with their customer base.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure all documentation is in place for the transition from project close to warranty mode.
• Answer all technical help desk calls
• “First Level” troubleshooting of all technical calls
• Capture and enter all data for database(s) (Service IT/Service Manager)
• Capture, enter, track and report status of bugs – QWX/Platform/InspeXion/IPT
• Manage all support documentation requests
• Manage all web information and customer accounts
• Manage database information
• Follow up on all RMA information
• Capture and make sure all billing information is collected and processed through accounting
• Service contract management

Minimum Qualifications

• Three year Electronic Technologist Program or equivalent
• Training in software development.
• Good working knowledge of electronic components
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience in Microsoft Operating Systems (NT/XP)
• Experience in databases (SQL Server)

• Excellent organization and communication skills and great attention to detail
