Looking for an experienced Unix/Linux System Administrator to support a team
of over 50 users. Identify weakness in the computing and network
infrastructure
and services and develops alternatives and recommendations. Research,
evaluate and recommend commercial software and hardware solutions. Design,
implement, and manage local networks of machines. Working under general
direction from senior management, establish and recommend policies on system
use and services. Troubleshooting system and networking related problems.
Monitors/ optimizes system and networking performance and operation.
Coordinates software and hardware upgrades and installations for LINUX/Unix
servers.
1. Minimum 3 years experience with SUN Solaris (installation,
support, security, monitoring tools etc.) & SUN Hardware.
2. Minimum 3 years experience with LINUX - preferably RedHat brand
(installation, support, security, monitoring tools etc.) & PC/Server
Hardware.
3. TCP/IP networks and protocols including NIS, DNS, RIP, NTP and FTP.
4. Minimum 2 years experience with NetApp.
5. Minimum of 2 years experience with Veritas NetBackup
6. Minimum of 2 years experience with LSF
7. Minimum of 2 years experience with CISCO switches and routers
6. Minimum of 2 years experience with Wincenter
9. Peripherals and Printers support.
10. Shell scripting.
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
